Emelyn Rodriguez, CEO & Founder Bella Floria Organics
Emelyn Rodriguez is a former print journalist and a practicing public sector attorney. As a former staff writer for newspapers including the Los Angeles Times, the Seattle Times and the San Francisco Examiner, Ms. Rodriguez’s assignments included covering healthcare and medicine, education and law. She was a finalist for the Livingston Award, honoring the best young journalists in the country. She has worked extensively in public service, volunteering for non-profit organizations such as United Way and Legal Services.
She founded Bella Floria Organics as a natural extension of her public service roots. With widespread consumer confusion about products claiming to be “organic” and “natural,” (and a recent lawsuit by the California Attorney General against retailers and manufacturers whose “organic and natural products” tested positive for carcinogenic 1,4-Dioxane) Ms. Rodriguez created Bella Floria Organics, a consumer-oriented site that goes beyond marketing and labels and does research that the average consumer may find too difficult or time-consuming.
Bella Floria Organics is foremost a consumer service site, offering only approved brands and product lines that are truly organic and natural. Ms. Rodriguez requires a full ingredient listing from each manufacturer. She then personally tests each product and reviews each ingredient with a cosmetics safety database, and when necessary, consulting independent medical and scientific experts about safety and purity. The site will also feature Bella Floria Pure Living Magazine, a source of truthful consumer information, news, and green living tips.
Ms. Rodriguez is a U.C. Berkeley graduate with B.A. degrees in Mass Communications and Political Science. She is also has a J.D. degree from U.C. Davis’ King Hall School of Law.

Julie, I’m so glad you are happy with your products. We always love hearing from our customers and getting feedback and comments. Thanks so much for spreading the word that organic and natural products can be just as good, if not superior to, conventional items. Best, Emelyn
